The circuit also features a voltage doubler which is how the additional headroom is generated for a truly transparent drive. . While the original sported a buffered bypass modern users often want an uncoloured signal when the pedal isnt engaged- the Sugar Drive offers both! Simply flick the Buffer switch to suit your preference. The reason this circuit has earned such reverence over the years is thanks to a couple of intelligent design features. The inclusion of the voltage doubler is simple but provides a huge lift to your sound with massively increased headroom perfect for a more articulate dynamic response.
