Here's what Mr. Black Say about the BloodMoon Blood and Chrome:

At long last, our two most coveted reverbs, the BloodMoon and SuperMoon Chrome, come together to create: the Blood & Chrome.

The BloodMoon is dark, eerie and moody, and the SuperMoon Chrome is legendary for its brighter voice, multiple early reflections and enhanced Sway modulation.  Each can go from a touch of space and breath, to full ambient washes, and with an expression pedal assigned to Mix, you can seamlessly transition from full-wet ambience to your original dry signal while the reverb decay trails on (up to 40 seconds available in the SuperMoon Chrome)!

Assigning an expression pedal couldn't be easier: simply connect any standard expression pedal to the EXP jack and turn the desired control to the "EXP" marker.  It is that simple.  Expression pedal assignments can be changed on the fly in real time following the same bone-simple procedure.

Save your favorite setting by pressing the Save button once (three blinks from the Preset light let you know your setting is saved), and instantly recall by pressing the Preset footswitch.  Switch back to your control settings and deactivate your preset by simply pressing the Preset footswitch again.

Brand

Mr. Black

In the current JustPedals catalogue, Mr. Black is represented by Reverb Pedals, Chorus Pedals and Flanger Pedals. Current listings include Mr Black Analog Tremolo, Mr Black SuperMoon Reverb and Mr Black Shepards End Flanger. That makes the range relevant to players looking for drive, gain and clipping, plus time-based effects and ambience. Check each model for its exact circuit or processing platform, controls, power requirements and connections, particularly where the catalogue includes both pedals and supporting gear.

Category

Reverb Pedals

Reverb pedals create the impression of rooms, plates, springs, halls or other spaces by surrounding the dry sound with a field of reflections. Decay controls length; pre-delay separates the attack from the ambience; damping, tone, modulation, diffusion and mix set size, brightness and movement. Short settings can add depth without washing out a part, while long tails become a deliberate texture. Check trails, spillover, stereo routing, presets, tap or MIDI control and the pedal’s headroom after drives.

Presets

Preset-capable products can store and recall effect settings, signal paths or control assignments. The useful differences are the number of locations, whether footswitches or MIDI can recall them, what parameters are saved, how quickly they change and whether trails continue between settings. Check editing, backup, firmware, expression and USB requirements, and confirm that the preset system covers the parameters you need rather than assuming every control is recalled.

Vocal

Vocal products process a microphone signal with harmony, reverb, delay, doubling, pitch correction, distortion or tone shaping. Microphone type, phantom-power handling, input gain, footswitch control and balanced output are as important as the effect list. Check key or scale settings, monitoring, feedback control, dry-signal routing and the intended PA or interface connection before using a vocal effect on stage.
