Key Features

  • Quick Switching – Change settings on the fly, including access to the “Ultraboost”, so you can deliver outstanding tone with ease.
  • Click-less, True Bypass Performance – Proudly put the Deuce Coupe on your pedalboard, and confidently switch on with the click-less buttons, and perform worry-free with True Bypass, so you don’t lose any tone in your signal chain.
  • Dynamic Response – While many overdrive pedals sound good, and some even great, very few offer the astonishing clarity, natural feel, and dynamic response that the Deuce Coupe so effortlessly delivers.

From its initial release in late-2011, the Deuce Coupe changed what was to be expected in a compact overdrive pedal, fully delivering on the promises of “amp-like response”, “incredible dynamic content”, “detailed articulation”, “high headroom”, and “uncoloured tone.”

Fast forward 12 years and the Deuce Coupe has been reborn!

Switching

Now boasting two soft-touch foot-switches, external Ultra Boost control, and modernized Click-Less true-bypass switching, the Mr. Black Deuce Coupe returns to deliver the same incredibly dynamic, naturally responsive overdrive and boost that garnered the reverence, admiration, and esteem that the original Deuce Coupe earned over a decade ago.

Ultraboost

Three familiar and intuitive controls complement the Deuce Coupe’s unique overdrive circuit, and the Ultra Boost control can now be adjusted on the fly, complimenting direct access to the Ultra channel.

Evenly matched impedances make sure that the Deuce Coupe will maintain its provocative response regardless of placement in your effects chain (the Deuce Coupe does not need to be first in the chain to respond to your guitar’s volume control or picking dynamics), and it will also dole out LOADS of output when called upon!

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit and amplifier-like breakup to your guitar tone. They can be used as a light always-on tone enhancer, a bluesy crunch box, a mid-focused solo boost or a way to push a valve amp into richer saturation.

Different overdrive circuits have very different personalities, from transparent low-gain pedals to classic mid-hump designs and heavier modern drives. They are one of the most important pedal types because they respond to picking dynamics, guitar volume and the character of your amplifier.

Overdrive pedals recreate the sound of an amplifier being pushed harder, adding warmth, breakup and sustain while still responding naturally to picking dynamics and guitar volume changes. They are one of the most important and widely used pedal types in modern guitar rigs.

Different overdrive circuits offer very different flavours, from transparent low-gain boost-style pedals through to mid-focused classic rock tones and heavier amp-like saturation.
