Do you want a 100-watt guitar amp capable of delivering monstrous high-gain tones — all in a portable, pedalboard-friendly package? The Blackstar Amped 3 is just what you need! This 3-channel monster is designed to become the beating heart of your pedal rig, and can be used in a variety of ways. Run the Amped 3 into a cabinet like a conventional amp head, go direct to a front-of-house PA with convincing speaker emulation, or plug straight into the front-end of a traditional amplifier. Whatever your choice, Blackstar's innovative Amped 3 ensures that you can take your sound with you anywhere!

Power reduction down to 1W and USB-C connectivity means that the Amped 3 is equally at home in the studio as it is on the stage too, while additional player-friendly appointments include 6 voicing options (2 per channel) for even greater tonal versatility, built-in reverb, footswitchable boost, and an FX loop for your favourite external delay and modulation pedals.

Key Features

  • Performance-ready, programmable 100-watt guitar amp pedal with 3 channels, boost and configurable reverb (via free Architect software).
  • Unique high-headroom design delivers full power and optimum tone with any 8 or 16 Ohm cabinet setup.
  • Response control delivers three distinctly different and authentic power valve flavours: EL34, EL84 and 6L6. Each setting delivers the response, dynamics, sag and break-up characteristics of the selected valve power amp.
  • Blackstar's patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) tone control takes you from a USA to UK sound at just the twist of a knob!
  • 3 footswitchable channels, each with 2 voicings allowing you to dial in your perfect tone. Presets can be stored and recalled directly from the Amped 3.
  • Programable pre or post boost, including level control and dedicated footswitch.
  • Pro connectivity and integration into your setup using low-latency USB audio as an interface for recording, TRS stereo line out, and XLR Mono D.I. for live use with built-in CabRig simulator technology.
  • Effects loop, two 9V DC outputs and MIDI control for easy integration into your pedalboard or rig.
  • Universal voltage, so it can be used anywhere in the world from 90V to 264V 50/60Hz.
  • Use Blackstar's free Architect software to deep dive settings for reverb, the effects loop and more.
  • Manual mode turns Amped 3 into a what-you-see-is-what-you-get "traditional" amp.
  • Small enough to fit in a backpack or a large gigbag pocket!

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.
