Depending on how you use it, you can get even out your tone or get the most out of your hybrid picking licks. Capable of a vast range of dynamic expression, FORCEFIELD COMPRESSOR sports an easy-to-use control layout including: Sustain, set the amount of signal compression; Attack, controls how fast the compression is applied; and Level, which sets the output volume to make up for gain loss – or for using your FORCEFIELD COMPRESSOR as a solo booster. Compressor Pedals

Compressor pedals reduce dynamic range by turning louder peaks down and raising or sustaining the average level. Attack and release determine whether the pick transient remains sharp or is softened; ratio, threshold, blend and output gain decide whether the result is discreet control or an obvious effect. Compression can even out clean picking, add sustain before an overdrive, tighten bass or provide a steady vocal signal, but it can also raise noise and reduce touch contrast. Check the controls and metering, then place the pedal where its gain structure makes sense for the rest of the chain.

Analogue

Uses continuous analogue circuitry for some or all of the audio path, so clipping, filtering or modulation arises from physical components rather than sampled algorithms. Check the exact signal path.
