The Rodenberg LDP Deluxe Victor Wooten Signature Pedal brings the legendary bass virtuoso’s tone straight to your pedalboard. Developed in close collaboration with Victor himself, this stompbox delivers his unmistakable sound — dynamic, warm and full of punch. Built on the classic LDP circuit and fine-tuned to Victor’s exact specs, it’s a true tone machine!

Three custom circuits in one pedal

Forget one-trick ponies. This is essentially three pedals in a single box, giving you a massive range of bass drive tones:

  • Low Gain Overdrive: Smooth yet gritty, with Level, Tone and Drive controls plus a Deep Boost toggle.
  • High Gain Overdrive: Thicker, more compressed and equally tweakable with Level, Tone, Drive and Deep Boost.
  • Boost (Clean Boost): Perfect for making parts pop in the mix, featuring Level and Tone controls with toggles for Deep Boost and +20dB Level Boost.

Switch up the signal path

You also get a Pre/Post toggle switch that lets you choose your signal path:

  • Post: Bass → Overdrive → Distortion → Boost → Amp
  • Pre: Bass → Boost → Overdrive → Distortion → Amp

Extra functions for extra fun

There are even more features to play with for further creative control:

  • Locked toggle switch: Locks both the Low Gain and High Gain Overdrive.
  • Push toggle switch: Switches the High Gain Overdrive to momentary operation, so it’s only active while pressed. This also works in conjunction with the Locked mode.

Key Features

  • 3-in-1 design: Not one, not two, but three circuits make up this stellar stompbox that covers all of your bass overdrive needs.
  • Mechanical true bypass footswitch: This means almost no switching noise, so you can quietly jam without any annoying clicking spoiling your vibe!
  • Bright jewel LEDs: Instantly know which circuits are engaged — Blue (Low Gain), Red (High Gain) and Green (Boost).

Specifications

  • Input & output: 6.3 mm jack
  • Enclosure: Black powder-coated aluminium
  • Power requirements: 9-18 V (PSU not included, no battery operation)
  • Handmade in Germany

Brand

Rodenberg

In the current JustPedals catalogue, Rodenberg is represented by Overdrive Pedals and Boost Pedals. Current listings include Killmister Killswitch, GAS Overdrive Clean Boost and LDP Overdrive Clean Boost. That makes the range relevant to players looking for drive, gain and clipping. Check each model for its exact circuit or processing platform, controls, power requirements and connections, particularly where the catalogue includes both pedals and supporting gear.

Category

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive pedals add controlled clipping and harmonics while retaining more of the instrument’s attack and dynamics than heavier distortion. They can simulate a pushed valve amp, add a mid lift, tighten the low end or provide a lower-gain always-on voice. Gain, tone, output, presence, bass and clipping options determine how the pedal responds to pickups and the next stage. Before choosing, decide whether it should clean up from the guitar volume, stack with another drive or feed an already driven amplifier.

Tags

Bass

Bass products are designed or voiced to retain low-frequency information and usable headroom with bass guitar or other low-register sources. Controls may centre on clean blend, low-end EQ, compression, crossover points or drive character. A guitar pedal can sometimes work well on bass, but it may remove the fundamental or compress the transient. Check the frequency response, input impedance, output level and dry-signal path with the intended tuning and amplifier.

Boost

Boost pedals raise level, add gain or do both. A clean boost mostly preserves the source voice and pushes the next gain stage harder; a coloured boost changes the frequency balance as it lifts the level, while treble or mid boosts narrow the emphasis deliberately. Gain, output, tone, presence and headroom shape the result. Place the boost before overdrive for more clipping, after gain for more level, or into a clean amp when a louder signal is the aim.
