The Yamaha FC4A Keyboard Sustain Pedal is suited to keyboard players wanting familiar stable sustain control. Designed to reproduce the feel of an acoustic piano pedal it gives you a natural way to add sustain and expression when playing digital pianos keyboards synthesizers and stage pianos. A rubber underside helps keep the pedal securely positioned beneath your foot so you can concentrate on your performance without it sliding around. It also supports assignable switch functions giving you more ways to control equipment simply by pressing the pedal. This makes the FC4A useful beyond traditional piano sustain particularly when working with synthesizers and other compatible electronic instruments. Setup is straightforward via the 6.35 mm TS jack connection while the 1.8 m cable gives you plenty of room to position the pedal comfortably within your playing setup.

Specialist Effects Pedals
Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.
Tags
Acoustic
Voiced for the wider dynamics, strong transient detail and pickup characteristics of acoustic instruments. High input impedance, phase reversal, notch filtering and restrained processing help preserve body resonance while controlling piezo harshness and feedback. Balanced outputs may also carry the corrected signal directly to a mixer or interface.
Digital
Converts the signal or control process into numerical data for algorithmic processing. Digital designs can provide precise timing, long memory, complex routing and repeatable presets; sample rate, conversion, internal resolution and latency influence fidelity and response.
