You will be amazed at how much character and tone comes in such a small package! But the Xotic SL Drive Pedal really does prove it is not all about size, use the "super lead" setting to produce a scorching bright tone with tones of energy or try the "super bass" for a thicker more bass driven sound. With everything from a true bypass switch to an internal dip, the Xotic SL Drive Pedal has it all and aims big!

Here's what Xotic say about the Xotic SL Drive Pedal:

Famous for its woody, organic and beautiful sounds of saturation, these legendary British amplifiers, the Super Lead & Super Bass, have been delivering one of the all-time classic sounds for almost 50 years. Players like Jimmy Page, Paul Kossoff and countless other relied on this type of tone for their signature sound.

Xotic have recreated this vintage masterpiece in a rugged small enclosure. The SL Drive offers very amp-like response and cleans up nicely with a roll of your guitar’s volume knob. The internal dip switches allow you to choose the sound characteristics of both 1959 models. The “Super Lead” setting offers a brighter tone with more gain, while the “Super Bass” setting has more low end with less highs.

This compact design is a powerful tool for the working musicians.

The SL Drive is equipped with true bypass switching and eliminates any signal interference when switched off. Power requirements are either 9V battery or AC adaptor (optional)

Drive — A drive pedal adds grit, warmth, and harmonic richness by gently overdriving your guitar signal, simulating the sound of a tube amp pushed into natural breakup. It works by boosting the signal until it begins to clip softly, producing smooth, musical distortion that enhances dynamics without overwhelming the original tone. Drive pedals are perfect for adding sustain and body to clean tones or giving solos extra bite and presence. There are many flavours of drive — from transparent low-gain pedals that subtly enhance your sound, to midrange-heavy overdrives like the Tube Screamer that cut through a mix. They can be used to push an amp harder, stack with other pedals, or simply shape the foundation of your tone. A good drive pedal responds to your touch, letting you control everything from gentle crunch to singing sustain just by adjusting your picking dynamics or guitar volume..
