Is it Chorus? Is it Delay? Is it Granular?

It’s all of the above and more, rolled into one. The Qi Etherealizer allows players to mix and match Chorus, Delay, and Granular effects, running them in either series or parallel configurations to create a vast universe of sonic possibilities. Whether you’re crafting a traditional chorus with a hint of delay or exploring glitchy, ethereal washes of sound, the Qi offers unparalleled flexibility and instant inspiration.

Designed with Yvette Young

Like tapping? Whacky tunings? Lush stacked-pedal tones that range from crunchy chords to soaring ambient textures? Yvette Young knows what’s up. The Covet band leader has been setting the guitar world ablaze with her signature tones and unique polyphonic style inspired by her piano playing background. She’s also a big Walrus Audio fan. Cue her teaming up with the Oklahoma company to design her own pedal, channelling her love of ambient, glitchy, digital-meets-analog effects.

Category

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.

Tags

Digital

Converts the signal or control process into numerical data for algorithmic processing. Digital designs can provide precise timing, long memory, complex routing and repeatable presets; sample rate, conversion, internal resolution and latency influence fidelity and response.

Presets

Stores complete groups of parameter values for later recall. The number of locations, switching time, spillover behaviour and whether presets include routing, expression and MIDI assignments determine how completely one sound can change into another.

Stereo

Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.
