The Vemuram Butter Machine Mike Landau Signature Pedal has been created in collaboration with Michael Landua to give you his ideal distortion pedal. The Butter Machine has been designed to give you a user-friendly stompbox for you to dial in a wide variety of different overdrive and distortion tones that are right for you.

The Butter Machine allows you to control your nuance and picking in you playing style, going from drive to overdrive, and then to full distortion effortlessly using the control knobs. Vemuram have developed this pedal using a SD9 style pedal as the key influence for the distorted tone. By going one step further they have created a distortion pedal that isn’t overly compressed, giving you enhanced sustain, whilst keeping the integrity of clear, punchy, and full-bodied tones when rolling the volume back on your guitar.

At the top of this pedal, you have the experimental options to add more or less low and mid tone; for a more vibrant overdrive you can alter the Sparkle giving you an expansive sonic palette. Michael Landua has described using this pedal as “a very satisfying sonic experience” providing you with the very best and developed overdrive and distortion tones in one stompbox.

Specialist Effects Pedals

Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.
