Radius puts complex harmonic structures, bell-like tones, metallic textures, frequency shifting, soft tremolo, and bubbly phaser sounds at your fingertips.

The Radius is a ring modulator and frequency shifter with pitch tracking and an advanced LFO. It is designed around a novel “eight-quadrant multiplier” algorithm that smoothly transitions from ring modulation to frequency shifting and allows different frequency ratios for the upper and lower tones.

Key Features

  • Stereo Modulation – Modulation in High Definition!
  • Choose Your Favourite Frequency Ratio – Selectable 2X frequency ratios for upper and lower sidebands.
  • Advanced LFO Waveforms – The Radius has an advanced LFO with triangle, square, random waveforms and an eight step sequencer, all of which can be envelope triggered.

Pitch tracking, a push-to-tune footswitch, and picking dynamics make the Radius responsive and predictable on stage.

Oscillation Control

Hold the left footswitch and play a note to tune the carrier oscillator to that note. Pitch tracking maintains the pitch ratio as you play up and down the scale, or tracks by a ratio (or inverse) for more dynamic sounds. An expression pedal can be assigned to any combination of knobs.

Intelligent Sound Design

Well-spaced controls and stereo input/output make the Radius perfect for sound design, synths, and creative mixing. A full MIDI implementation allows you to sync to MIDI clock, sequence parameter changes, and play the carrier oscillator from a keyboard.

The Radius is a musical ring modulator and frequency shifter that transforms the timbre of your instrument in new ways. With deep features and intuitive control, Radius modernizes classic electronic techniques for the future.

Category

Modulation Pedals

Modulation changes a signal through a continuously moving control source. This broad category covers effects that alter delay time, phase, pitch, amplitude or filtering to create rotation, movement and evolving texture when no narrower effect family is dominant. Waveform, rate, depth, stereo phase and control routing determine the shape and spatial behaviour of that movement.

Tags

Stereo

Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.
