Description

here at Just Pedals we love this TC Electronic Flashback 2 Delay & Looper Pedal.

TC Electronic’s original Flashback delay pedal is a modern classic, seen on thousands of pedalboards across the world. Praised for its versatility, innovation and affordability, this digital delay pedal gave players a huge tonal palette of delay sounds. Also boasting a built-in looper and TC’s game-changing “TonePrint” technology, the original Flashback is iconic.

Now, TC Electronic have re-imagined their brilliant design and given it a few tweaks and updates. With a MASH footswitch like their Hall of Fame 2 pedal, as well as a new delay engine and improved algorithms, this redesign gives you one of the most versatile pedals available!

New Features:

MASH – The MASH feature is new for TC Electronic. This is a specially-designed footswitch that reacts to pressure sensitivity, meaning that you can manipulate and affect the delay character by pressing down on the switch – similar to an expression pedal! The harder you press the switch, the more intense the effect will become. Each delay type has its own unique parameter that you can adjust with MASH, meaning you can experiment to your heart’s content!

Improved Algorithms – TC have updated their Tape and Analog delay algorithms, providing you with more genuine and realistic sounds. The Tape setting will decay like an old-school tape echo unit, with the signal degrading and fluttering with each repeat. The Analog setting also reacts similarly, recapturing that vintage vibe.

Crystal Delay – This new delay engine takes inspiration from TC’s Sub ‘N’ Up Octave pedal, using part of its algorithm. With each delay repeat, the pitch will raise by an octave to deliver an incredible shimmer effect. Using the MASH feature will send this into self-oscillation, giving you some crazy ambient/experimental sounds.

Here’s what TC Electronic say about the Flashback 2:

The new Flashback 2 serves up a sonic buffet of expressive delay by infusing the pressure sensitive MASH technology with our renowned delay algorithms.

We completely redeveloped our Tape and Analog algorithms from scratch, recreating the tones of old school echoes with unheard realism, including every little eccentric behavior inherent in those legendary designs.

We also squeezed in a shimmering Crystal delay, made with our own polyphonic octave algorithm from Sub ‘N’ Up into Flashback 2.

And finally, with 3 TonePrint slots in total, you get more flexibility than ever, and all the legendary delay sounds that TC Electronic are famous for:

  • Expressive MASH technology
  • New Ultra-Realistic Tape and Analog Algorithms
  • New Crystal Delay

Express Yourself!

MASH reacts to the amount of pressure you put on the switch. The harder you press, the more intense the effect.

TC Electronic – Innovation, Tone, and Value

TC Electronic is a globally renowned brand offering high-quality, versatile effects pedals at accessible prices. Known for their cutting-edge technology, pedals like the Hall of Fame Reverb and Flashback Delay have become staples for musicians seeking rich, professional-quality sound with ease of use.

With a reputation for user-friendly designs, excellent build quality, and innovative features like TonePrint (customizable tone profiles), TC Electronic provides everything from lush reverb and delay to dynamic modulation, making them a go-to choice for players across genres.

Delay

A delay pedal is used to create an echo effect by repeating the original sound after a short time. It works by capturing the input signal and then replaying it with adjustable delay time and feedback. The longer the delay time and the more feedback, the more pronounced the repeating echo becomes, adding depth and space to the sound.

There are different types of delay pedals, including analogue, digital, and tape delay. Analog delay provides a warmer, more natural echo, while digital delay offers clear, precise repeats and additional features like tap tempo. Tape delay mimics the sound of vintage tape machines, adding a distinctive, slightly warbled effect. Delay pedals are widely used across genres to create atmosphere, enhance solos, or add complexity to rhythms.

Guitar FX

Just Pedals is a new Guitar Effect Pedals Marketplace – We feature new and used Guitar Effect pedals from different sellers, to purchase online from the UK.

Looper

A looper pedal records and plays back audio in real time, allowing musicians to layer multiple parts and create complex soundscapes on the fly. Used by guitarists, bassists, and vocalists, loopers are powerful tools for live performances, songwriting, and practice, enabling a single musician to build entire arrangements by overdubbing different loops.

Looper pedals range from simple single-button units, like the TC Electronic Ditto Looper, to advanced multi-track loop stations, such as the Boss RC-600, which offer multiple layers, effects, and tempo syncing. Many loopers also include undo/redo functions, reverse playback, and built-in drum patterns, making them an essential creative tool for musicians who want to experiment with sound and composition.

Pedal

A pedal is an electronic device that alters the sound of an electric guitar by applying various effects. Pedals are typically connected in a series between the guitar and amplifier, allowing guitarists to switch effects on and off with their feet while playing.

This enables musicians to quickly and easily change their sound, adding versatility and creativity to their performances.

Pedals are essential tools in many musical genres, including rock, blues, jazz, and metal, allowing artists to craft distinctive and dynamic soundscapes.

Once you buy one, you can’t stop and then you have to sell them and buy more.
