Well, what can I say, even after 6 years or however long it has been now since The Dane mk1 came out, it hasn’t left my boards once. It is still my number 1 go-to overdrive and boost pedal and I love it as much now as I did on day one! Also, I have to admit that I sure am proud of it and how well it has done out there. Built in collaboration with pedal mastermind Adrian Thorpy and virtuoso session guitarist extraordinaire Pete Honore, The Dane is designed to be the backbone of Pete’s overdriven tones. Pete needed a drive pedal that would act like the dirty channel of his favourite clean amps, covering a wide range of drive sounds from light to medium gain, all while retaining the natural tone, feel and response of his guitar and amp. It was important to him that the pedal was dynamic and worked well with the guitars volume knob and most importantly, remained articulate no matter what setting. The boost side with low frequency control is perfect for enhancing your clean tone with added warmth and fatness, as well as pushing the pedal into powerful soaring lead tones! The mk2 features a smaller, more pedalboard-friendly enclosure as well as a switchable ‘Heavier Clipping’ boost for even more grit and saturation when needed.

Controls
- Boost – This controls the volume of the boost and how hard it will drive the Overdrive channel which is next in the signal chain.
- Lows – These will fatten up the low-end of your guitar. Particularly good for making Single Coils sound fatter than before.
- Tone – This controls the overall EQ output of the pedal.
- Volume – This controls the volume of the drive.
- Drive – This controls the gain you’ll get from the pedal. If you keep the gain down and volume up, you’ll have more headroom. If you keep the volume down and the gain up, you’ll have more dirt! Set it to taste.
