The Warm Audio Chorus Vibrato Mod is an analog modulation pedal for guitarists wanting flexible chorus vibrato and stereo sound shaping. Its 100 percent analog design combines an MN3007 BBD chip recreation with a vintage-style preamp delivering the midrange depth and modulation associated with classic analog chorus circuits. Vintage mode keeps the preamp active adding bite depth and natural compression while Modern mode bypasses it to simplify gain staging within more complex rigs. Separate Depth and Rate controls expand the chorus section beyond vintage designs letting you adjust subtle movement or more pronounced modulation independently. Switch to Vibrato for faster bouncing textures that can suit funk fusion blues and jazz. Selectable 50k ohm and 1.1M Hi-Z input impedance settings help accommodate different sources while wet/dry stereo outputs make it easy to build wide dual-amp setups.

Brand

Warm Audio

Warm Audio began with founder Bryce Young’s aim of making the sounds of classic recording equipment more accessible through recreations of well-known analogue designs. The company remains rooted in studio gear, with microphones, preamps and compressors alongside a focused guitar-pedal range. Centavo revisits a sought-after overdrive, Foxy Tone Box is an octave fuzz, Mutation Phasor II is an optical phaser and Warmdrive is an amp-inspired overdrive. JustPedals listings include these models alongside ODD and WA-CV Centavo. The pedal line carries the company’s broader approach into guitar effects by pairing familiar circuit references with practical modern formats.

Category

Chorus Pedals

Chorus mixes the dry signal with one or more short, continuously modulated delays. The small pitch and timing movement between the paths creates width, shimmer and the impression of several instruments playing together. Rate controls the modulation speed, depth controls its excursion, and delay or mix settings determine whether the result is subtle thickening, a liquid wobble or a broad stereo image.

Tags

Analogue

The signal is shaped by continuously varying electronic circuitry rather than being converted into a digital effect algorithm. Component choice, operating voltage and circuit tolerances influence headroom, noise, clipping texture and the small variations in response between designs.

Stereo

Processes, creates or passes two audio channels. True stereo preserves separate left and right inputs, while mono-to-stereo effects generate spatial differences internally; routing, phase behaviour and whether trails remain stereo determine the resulting image. Some outputs sum to mono when only one socket is connected, which can change level or modulation depth.

Vibrato

Modulates pitch above and below the played note without the dry/modulated mixture that creates chorus. Rate, depth, waveform and delay-line character determine whether the motion is a gentle instability, pronounced wobble or tape-like drift.
