Temple Audio focuses on modular pedalboards and the hardware that turns them into organised live or studio rigs. Templeboards use a perforated grid, Quick Release pedal plates and cable-routing slots; compatible end caps accept MOD modules for power, input/output and other connections. JustPedals listings include DUO, SOLO and TRIO boards, plus a Temple Audio 4X module. Board size, pedal depth, case choice and the number of MOD connections are more useful comparisons than effect type. Temple Audio’s system is designed so a rig can be rearranged without committing every pedal to permanent hook-and-loop mounting.
Specialist effects alter the signal in ways that do not sit cleanly inside one established family. They may use granular processing, frequency shifting, resonators, freeze or sustain, bit reduction, ring modulation, feedback networks or combinations of several techniques. The relevant distinction is the underlying process, its tracking or latency, and how completely the dry signal can be blended or replaced.
