The Stand Alone X Analoguetube Love Bomb is an all tube Overdrive / Preamp pedal, designed by music producer Gareth Johnson of Stand Alone Productions and tube guru Simon Saywood of Analoguetube. Lovingly hand made in London, England, the Love Bomb is built from only the finest components, delivering a truly unique playing experience.

The (not so) secret to the Love Bomb's authentic amp like tone is a military spec NOS 6948 sub-miniature tube, which was originally designed to power missile guidance systems during the Cold War! Thankfully for us guitarists though, the tubes have been repurposed to deliver a plethora of satisfying tones from a clean boost, to a warm crunch, to a highly saturated, searing distortion. The Love Bomb is built like a tank too so you can be sure it will stand up against the rigours of the road time after time.

Key Features

  • HPF – Tighten up low end with a switchable 75hz High Pass Filter
  • Overdrive – Huge gain range available from clean boost to tube fuzz
  • Bias – 6 position switch to control the Bias and gain range of the 6948 Tube
  • Sag – Fully sweepable to control the amount of Sag in 6948 Tube Output
  • LPF – 6 position high frequency filter to tailor HF response.
  • Output – High level output to tailor how your signal hits your amplifier
  • The controls are all interactive and allow complex gain structures to be achieved, thus far unavailable in a single pedal format.

Overdrive Pedals

Overdrive pedals add warmth, grit and amplifier-like breakup to your guitar tone. They can be used as a light always-on tone enhancer, a bluesy crunch box, a mid-focused solo boost or a way to push a valve amp into richer saturation.

Different overdrive circuits have very different personalities, from transparent low-gain pedals to classic mid-hump designs and heavier modern drives. They are one of the most important pedal types because they respond to picking dynamics, guitar volume and the character of your amplifier.

Preamp & Amp Sim Pedals,

Amp and cab simulator pedals recreate the sound and response of guitar amplifiers, speaker cabinets and microphones in a compact pedal format. They are useful for recording direct, practising silently, running straight into a PA, or building a pedalboard that does not rely on a traditional amp.

Many amp and cab sims include different amplifier voices, impulse responses, EQ controls and headphone outputs. They are a strong choice for modern guitarists who need consistent tone at home, in the studio and on stage without carrying heavy amplifiers and speaker cabinets.
