The Polymoon is the perfect stompbox for ludicrous modulated delays, shoegazing and drifting away into the vastness of sound space. It’ll keep you occupied for days on end.

Essentially, you’re able to sculpt chorus, octave, echo, fuzz, phaser, pitch shift and doubling effects all from the Polymoon pedal.

About Meris

Meris are a boutique guitar pedal company at the forefront of artistic sound design.

The Californian-based brand consists of three tonal masterminds behind the direction of their incredible pedals: Angelo Mazzocco, a DSP engineer; Jinna Kim, creative director and Terry Burton, founder and engineer.

They treat each of their pedals as individual instruments, equipping them with a deep and expansive sets of parameters. You can shape the sound from your Meris pedal into something completely unique to your style.

Sound & Controls

There’s so much more to the Polymoon than just six parameter controls. At first glance, you have access to standard Time, Feedback and Mix dials, excluding a second layer of functions as well as connectivity options.

Multiply is an extremely flexible setting containing various number, level and panning abilities for the delay. Dimension allows you to keep the delay tight and smears and sustains as you turn it up. Dynamics dials in depth and intensity of the inbuilt flanger.

Holding the Alt button opens up a new world of opportunity. You can define early and late stages of modulation with various shape waveforms using the Time and Multiply and Dynamics. Feedback and Dimension settings change the envelope and filters.

Parallel to Alt is the phaser tempo button, which sets the phaser to a slow fixed rate or to run in time with tap tempo on whole or quarter notes. Add an expression pedal to potentially alter every parameter at once.

Connectivity & Utility

Meris are at the forefront of pedal design, incorporating MIDI into the control system. This is the best way to get the most out of your effects. Built into the pedal are 16 MIDI presets for you to experiment with your sound seamlessly in preparation.

Get accurate tap tempo with the MIDI beat clock synchronization and selectable quarter or dotted eight notes when holding down the tap tempo footswitch.

The pedal is equipped with stereo ins and outs for panning effects. Great for live use with PA systems, multiple cab setups or use with synths. There’s also a switchable output headroom level to accommodate for guitars, synths or to keep at line level.

Delay

A delay pedal is used to create an echo effect by repeating the original sound after a short time. It works by capturing the input signal and then replaying it with adjustable delay time and feedback. The longer the delay time and the more feedback, the more pronounced the repeating echo becomes, adding depth and space to the sound.

There are different types of delay pedals, including analogue, digital, and tape delay. Analog delay provides a warmer, more natural echo, while digital delay offers clear, precise repeats and additional features like tap tempo. Tape delay mimics the sound of vintage tape machines, adding a distinctive, slightly warbled effect. Delay pedals are widely used across genres to create atmosphere, enhance solos, or add complexity to rhythms.

Pedal

A pedal is an electronic device that alters the sound of an electric guitar by applying various effects. Pedals are typically connected in a series between the guitar and amplifier, allowing guitarists to switch effects on and off with their feet while playing.

This enables musicians to quickly and easily change their sound, adding versatility and creativity to their performances.

Pedals are essential tools in many musical genres, including rock, blues, jazz, and metal, allowing artists to craft distinctive and dynamic soundscapes.

Once you buy one, you can’t stop and then you have to sell them and buy more.
