The Morning Glory is JHS Pedal’s most praised overdrive, collecting more awards than any of their other creations – and for excellent reason. This is a completely transparent drive – meaning it’ll add pure, crunchy gain to your guitar tone without pushing any middle frequencies like a Tubescreamer style stompbox. You’ll still be able to hear the characteristics of your guitar and amp, whatever gear you use!
Version 4
V4 of the Morning Glory takes that overdrive magic to all new heights. The volume dial now pushes up to two times the headroom of the previous model. It really does deliver a gloriously crisp, mature tone which has been the pursuit of thousands of guitarists for decades.
Sound
The Morning Glory has been designed to be incredibly easy to handle. Controls consist of a simple volume, drive, tone, gain switch and hi cut. The drive adds gain to proceedings, while also pushing a modicum of treble frequencies. The tone control is a simple hi-pass filter, which brightens up your tone as you push it clockwise.
The new gain switch opens up an even wider variety of overdrive sounds. This little beauty activates a new boost mode, driving the tone further into high gain territories than it ever could before. On the side of the enclosure you’ll also find a small hi cut switch, letting you remove a bit of top-end harshness in a high gain setup.
Red Remote Compatible
The Red Remote now works with the Morning Glory V4! That means you can hit the Red Remote footswitch to toggle the gain levels without flipping any of the toggles.
