Here’s what Fender has to say about the Fender Switchboard Effects Operator

Unleash the full potential of your pedal board! The Switchboard Effects Operator is a streamlined and compact effects-switching solution with a remarkably simple interface, bringing complete signal path control, multi-pedal preset recall, and convenient effects switching right to your feet.

Unlock Your True Potential

Designed in collaboration with Ron Menelli, the premier loop switching expert called on by the pros, the Switchboard utilizes five rearrangeable relay true bypass effects loops combined with a powerful processor to intuitively reroute your pedal board – all while maintaining a completely analogue, high-fidelity signal path. Use the Switchboard to access any combination of pedals in any order, toggle multiple or individual effects on and off, and even control your amp’s footswitches and MIDI-enabled pedals.

User-Friendly Interface

The Switchboard’s graphic user interface and easy-to-use encoder knob make crafting presets in real-time straightforward and fun. The full-colour LCD screen displays bold visual graphics, so you always know what pedals are on and what preset is currently active. Packed with 500 user presets, a built-in professional tuner, two high-fidelity buffers, a built-in volume pedal and much more, the Switchboard provides pro-level board control in a user-friendly package.

Key Features

  • Rearrangeable Effects Loops – Explore entirely new tones from your same old pedals by simply rearranging their order. Place reverb before your fuzz. Place your chorus at the end of your chain. Experiment to create truly unique sounds.
  • Integrated Volume Pedal & Tuner – Connect an expression pedal to the EXP Jack to take control of the internal Volume Pedal. Place it anywhere in your signal path or bypass it entirely. Press and hold the FS Footswitch to mute your signal and access a professional tuner at any time.
  • Loop Mode – Delivers performance-focused real-time pedalboard control and the ideal space for crafting new presets. Using the six footswitches, Loop Mode consolidates turning on/off your five effects and an external footswitch to one location – defeating “tap dancing” for good.
  • Editor Mode – Provides full control of all parameters saved to each preset using an easily accessible graphic menu. Edit effect loop order and status, select FTSW conductors to be activated, turn the buffers on and off, edit MIDI messages and name your presets.
  • Bank Mode – A streamlined interface for organizing and accessing 100 banks of user-made presets. Use the up and down footswitches to scroll through banks while footswitches 1-4 instantly recall one of the four presets within each bank.

Just Pedal Ingredients.

Expression — Expression pedals allow real-time control over specific parameters on compatible guitar pedals, such as volume, delay time, modulation depth, or filter sweep. Used with an expression input, they let players shape effects dynamically with their foot, adding movement and performance control that cannot be achieved with fixed knob settings.. Fuzz — A fuzz pedal is one of the earliest and most aggressive forms of distortion, turning your clean guitar signal into a thick, saturated wall of sound. It works by clipping the waveform almost flat, creating a compressed, gritty tone full of harmonic overtones. The result is raw, unruly, and unmistakable — from the sputtering breakup of vintage germanium circuits to the searing sustain of modern silicon designs. Fuzz pedals react strongly to your guitar’s volume and pickup choice, making them dynamic tools for expressive players.Whether you’re chasing the classic tones of Hendrix and the Smashing Pumpkins or exploring heavy, experimental textures, fuzz remains a favourite for its personality and unpredictability. It can sound smooth and sustaining, or wild and velcro-like, depending on how it’s set up. A good fuzz pedal cuts through the mix while adding thickness and attitude, turning any riff or lead line into something bold and unmistakably alive.. Guitar Pedals — Your pedal is like a signature dish for your sound — a flavour-packed creation that transforms the bland ingredients of your guitar into something unforgettable. Each one adds its own seasoning, texture, and heat, turning a simple meal into a feast of tone. These tasty little boxes sit in a row, like plates on a buffet, letting you mix and match flavours as you play. With one tap of your foot, you can swap sweet for spicy, subtle for smoky, and serve up something completely new. From the comfort food of warm overdrive to the fiery kick of fuzz, from smooth jazz sauce to heavy-metal spice, pedals give players a full menu of options to express their taste.  And just like with food, once you’ve tried one dish, you’ll want to sample them all.Collecting, trading, and discovering new flavours soon becomes part of the joy of being a tone-loving gourmet geek with a guitar.. MIDI — MIDI pedals use the Musical Instrument Digital Interface standard to communicate with other guitar pedals, effects units, and hardware. They allow control over presets, parameters, and switching across multiple devices from a single controller. MIDI integration makes it possible to build complex, synchronised pedal setups while keeping control simple and consistent.. New — This is brand new, fresh in, and a UK warranty is included. New Gear always comes from trusted UK music retailers.. power supply. Reverb — A reverb pedal is like the rich sauce that ties every flavour on the plate into one smooth experience. It adds depth, warmth, and atmosphere — the sonic equivalent of a perfectly reduced glaze that lingers on the tongue. Whether you’re after the subtle ambience of a cosy café (spring or plate reverb) or the grand echoes of a cathedral (hall or shimmer reverb), this is where your tone breathes and expands. A touch of reverb can turn a dry sound into something lush and inviting — but pour on too much, and it’s all you can taste. Used with finesse, it’s the finishing touch that transforms your tone from plain to unforgettable.. Tuner — A tuner is an essential pedal or device that helps keep your guitar perfectly in tune by detecting the pitch of each string and showing whether it’s sharp or flat. Tuners come in many forms, from simple clip-on units to advanced pedalboard models with bright displays and muting options for silent tuning on stage. They ensure accurate pitch, stable tone, and a more professional sound, making them one of the most important tools for any guitarist.. Volume — Volume pedals control the output level of a guitar signal using a foot-operated treadle. They allow smooth volume swells, dynamic control during playing, and easy muting between songs. Volume pedals can be placed at different points in the signal chain to either control overall loudness or adjust gain and drive behaviour when positioned before distortion or overdrive pedals..
