Somewhat less imaginatively named than most EHX Pedals, the V256 vocoder makes up for it with sheer functionality and versatility. With the 80s seemingly making a comeback, now is the time to hand control of your voice over to technology.

The vocoder itself has an adjustable number of bands – from 8 to 256 – to give you a number of varying vocal effects. Twiddle your Gender Bender (to change your gender the easy way) and Pitch control, then save your presets to the pedal’s memory for easy recall later.

The V256 also features reflex tune pitch correction – so it’s useful even when your songs are going for the boringly normal ‘dry’ vocal sound. In the quest for great new sounds though, you’ll be reaching for this effect again and again!
