Here's what Coppersound say about the Dual Tap:

The CopperSound Dual Tap allows you to sync up two tap-tempo devices with one footswitch!

More control

There are a lot of pedals on the market with external expression capabilities, most prominently being external tap tempo(commonly found in the form of a ¼” jack). With the Dual Tap connected to the expression (often referred to as EXP) jack of a pedal, you now have control over the tempo/rate of that effect.

The Dual Tap really shines at syncing up the tempo on two separate pedals. Tapping in the tempo of a pedal can change often and dramatically, requiring direct access to the tempo switch. With the Dual Tap, you can leave your delay in the back row of your pedalboard, and keep easy access to the tap switch right up front.

Two forms of tap tempo

It’s worth remembering that not all pedals use the same method for setting tempo. The two most common forms are Normally Open(NO), and Normally Closed (NC). Boss is well known for using NC, whereas many other brands use NO. Consult the manufacturer to find out which is required. Inside the Dual Tap, you’ll find a DIP switch with two toggles, allowing you to set independent forms for each jack on the Dual Tap.

CopperSound Pedals

Coppersound Pedals is a boutique pedal company based in Easton, Pennsylvania, USA, known for its distinctive and handcrafted effects pedals. Founded by Alex Guaraldi in 2016, Coppersound Pedals has quickly gained recognition for its innovative designs, attention to detail, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

One of Coppersound Pedals’ most notable creations is the Telegraph Stutter, a unique effects pedal designed to emulate the sound of a telegraph key. The Telegraph Stutter allows musicians to create rhythmic staccato effects by momentarily cutting off their guitar signal, producing dynamic and expressive rhythmic patterns.

In addition to the Telegraph Stutter, Coppersound Pedals offers a range of other effects pedals, including overdrive, distortion, modulation, and delay pedals. Each pedal is meticulously handcrafted using high-quality components and features intuitive controls, allowing musicians to easily dial in their desired tones.

Coppersound Pedals has gained a loyal following among musicians and collectors for its innovative designs, exceptional sound quality, and attention to detail. With their dedication to craftsmanship and creativity, Coppersound Pedals continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of guitar effects pedals, inspiring musicians to explore new sonic territories.

Delay

A delay pedal records your signal and plays it back after a set time, creating echoes that can range from tight, slapback repeats to long, atmospheric trails. It’s one of the most versatile effects, used to thicken tones, add rhythmic depth, or build spacious, ambient layers. Analogue delays offer warm, decaying repeats that blend naturally with your tone, while digital units provide pristine echoes with precise control over time, feedback, and mix levels.

From classic rockabilly and tape-style echoes to modern looping and shimmer effects, delay pedals have become essential tools for shaping sound. They can make solos soar, rhythms pulse, or transform simple chord progressions into cinematic textures. Whether used subtly to add dimension or boldly to create soundscapes, a good delay pedal can completely redefine the feel and atmosphere of your music.

Expression

Expression pedals allow real-time control over specific parameters on compatible guitar pedals, such as volume, delay time, modulation depth, or filter sweep. Used with an expression input, they let players shape effects dynamically with their foot, adding movement and performance control that cannot be achieved with fixed knob settings.

Guitar Pedals

Your pedal is like a signature dish for your sound — a flavour-packed creation that transforms the bland ingredients of your guitar into something unforgettable. Each one adds its own seasoning, texture, and heat, turning a simple meal into a feast of tone.

These tasty little boxes sit in a row, like plates on a buffet, letting you mix and match flavours as you play. With one tap of your foot, you can swap sweet for spicy, subtle for smoky, and serve up something completely new. From the comfort food of warm overdrive to the fiery kick of fuzz, from smooth jazz sauce to heavy-metal spice, pedals give players a full menu of options to express their taste.  And just like with food, once you’ve tried one dish, you’ll want to sample them all.

Collecting, trading, and discovering new flavours soon becomes part of the joy of being a tone-loving gourmet geek with a guitar.
