Available from Just Pedals for only £ 389 Staggering simulations The real deal. The Walrus Audio Mako ACS1 Amp & Cab Sim combines functionality with sheer versatility. Expand your options in stereo instead of one amp being used through both channels mix and match amps and cabinets on the left and right channels with the L + R switch. Just choose the channel to modify select your amp and cab model and set your levels. Then flip over to the other channel and repeat- its that easy. Bringing these tones to life is the intricate detail that went into the design: the volume and gain work together just they would on an amp; increasing gain levels also raise overall volume output so adjust the volume knob accordingly. And unlike the actual vintage models there are no performance issues or risk of gear being temperamental just reliably rich powerful amp tones. Huge headroom Many amp sim pedals simply try and replicate the tonal character and leave it at that… not the ACS1! The cab simulations really bring the amplifier sounds to life. The six high-quality cabinet impulse responses were custom-designed to optimise the sonic qualities of each amp and experimenting to find your perfect combination is the only way to work out whats best for you. The reverb control is also intuitively named Room this is since it actively simulates the size of the room that your amp and cabinet are in. At zero it would resemble a totally isolated environment with no reverb. At maximum itd be closer to a natural-sounding hall environment. Theres even a boost switch to quickly take your sound up a notch making this about as responsive a pedal as you will find on the market today. Amp
An amp pedal, often referred to as an amp simulator pedal or amp modeling pedal, is a type of effects pedal designed to emulate the sound and characteristics of various guitar amplifiers. By using digital or analog processing, these pedals replicate the tonal qualities, gain stages, and tonal response of different types of amplifiers, such as vintage tube amps, high-gain modern amps, or classic solid-state models.
Amp pedals are typically used to shape a guitarist’s tone without needing to rely on multiple physical amplifiers. They offer a range of preset or adjustable sounds that mimic the effects of different amp types, including their distinctive overdrive, distortion, and EQ settings. Some amp pedals also include additional features like cabinet simulations, which mimic the sound of different speaker cabinets, and built-in effects like reverb and delay. This makes them a versatile tool for achieving a variety of tones and sounds, whether in a practice setting, recording studio, or live performance, providing convenience and flexibility in a compact form.
Guitar Effect Pedal
A guitar pedal, also known as an effects pedal, is a device used by guitarists to alter the sound of their instrument in various ways. These pedals are typically small, foot-operated units that are connected in a signal chain between the guitar and the amplifier. They can modify the guitar’s tone, pitch, and dynamics by applying different effects such as distortion, reverb, delay, chorus, and more. Guitar pedals come in both analog and digital formats, and they allow musicians to create a wide range of sounds, enhancing their musical expression and creativity. They are essential tools for guitarists in genres ranging from rock and blues to jazz and electronic music.
