Description

The Wampler Mini Faux Spring Reverb Pedal is currently retailing at £129 and it is in stock. Available to be delivered to you by post direct (some charge may apply). The team at Just Pedals think that Wampler nailed it with the Wampler Mini Faux Spring Reverb Pedal.

The Mini Faux Spring Reverb is a simple but powerful pedal. It's small and easy to get onto any pedalboard and provides you with stunning spring reverb tones. The simple controls also mean you won't be bogged down by option paralysis and can simply choose your favourite setting and leave it on.

It's literally got 3 controls and that's it. Depth will determine how long the verb lasts after playing a note and tone will take it from dark sounding to bright sounding reverb.

And lastly, you've got a volume control to control the overall volume of Reverb on your signal.

Here's what Wampler say about the Faux Spring Reverb

The Faux Spring Reverb has been a staple on players boards for many years now. Since it was discontinued several years ago, Brian received countless requests to bring it back. Not being one to be content with just reissuing an older design, Brian upgraded the new Mini Faux Spring Reverb by incorporating more of what players love. More decay, more drippiness and more of that bouncy spring tone players love in bigger reverb tanks. While the Mini Faux Spring Reverb sounds bigger and fuller, the housing itself was condensed to a mini enclosure, allowing it to fit perfectly at the end of any chain or simply grab and go.

Springy boing

When the moment calls for the sound of a spring reverb, you’ll be glad you have this little guy. With an extended decay time, the Mini Faux Spring Reverb pedal serves up authentic tones that drip with boing (Don’t you love spring reverb adjectives?) just like a great spring tank. And thanks to an easy-to-navigate control layout, you’ll have your perfect tone pulled up in no time.

Good thing in a small package

There no denying the popularity and convenience of this pedal’s mini design. Not only does it fit wonderfully on even the most cramped
pedalboards, but it’s easy to throw in the back of your open-back combo when running through the
amp’s effects loop.

Wampler-quality construction

Brian Wampler’s attention to detail and commitment to designing the best and most player-friendly products out there are second to none. Those qualities are on full display within the Mini Faux Spring Reverb. From its convenient size to its top-tier components, the Mini Faux Spring Reverb pedal is every bit a Wampler.

Mini

A mini pedal is a compact version of a standard guitar effect pedal, designed to save space on a pedalboard without sacrificing tone. Mini pedals are ideal for guitarists who need a portable setup or want to fit more effects into a limited space. Despite their small size, many mini pedals offer the same high-quality sound as their full-sized counterparts, though they may have fewer controls or lack battery power options. Popular mini pedals include the TC Electronic Hall of Fame Mini (Reverb), Ibanez Tube Screamer Mini (Overdrive), and Xotic EP Booster (Boost), making them a great choice for efficient pedalboard setups.

Pedal

A pedal is an electronic device that alters the sound of an electric guitar by applying various effects. Pedals are typically connected in a series between the guitar and amplifier, allowing guitarists to switch effects on and off with their feet while playing.

This enables musicians to quickly and easily change their sound, adding versatility and creativity to their performances.

Pedals are essential tools in many musical genres, including rock, blues, jazz, and metal, allowing artists to craft distinctive and dynamic soundscapes.

Once you buy one, you can’t stop and then you have to sell them and buy more.

Reverb

Reverb simulates the natural echoes and reflections of sound in different spaces, adding depth and atmosphere to a guitar’s tone. It can range from short, subtle room reverbs to large, ambient cathedral-like spaces. Common types of reverb include spring reverb (found in vintage amplifiers), plate reverb (a smooth studio-style effect), and shimmer reverb (which adds ethereal, harmonised overtones). Reverb is essential in many genres, from surf rock and blues to shoegaze and ambient music. Popular reverb pedals include the Boss RV-6, Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail, and Strymon BigSky, offering everything from classic warmth to expansive soundscapes.

Spring

Spring reverb is a classic type of reverb effect that uses a spring (or multiple springs) inside a unit to create reverberation. When the signal is sent through the spring, it vibrates the coils, creating a natural echo-like sound that mimics the acoustics of a large room or hall. This type of reverb became famous in the 1960s, especially in guitar amplifiers, and is known for its wet, metallic sound.

Spring reverb has a distinctive character, often adding a vintage, surf-rock vibe to the tone. It’s typically found in older amps or as a standalone effect in modern pedals. Although digital reverbs can simulate the spring sound, the real mechanical springs have a unique, organic quality, with some players using it for its warmth and charm.
