PICKUP

PICKUP is an instrument-source label for products connected to a magnetic, piezo or contact pickup. The pickup type affects impedance, frequency response, transient attack, feedback risk and the amount of gain required. Check whether the product expects an instrument-level pickup, a microphone or a line signal, and confirm the connector, phantom-power behaviour and placement before adding it to an acoustic, electric or experimental setup.
