SanAmp

Tech 21's SansAmp preamp is an industry standard, used most notably by bass players for giving them a solid, punchy and defined tone. With a tailored circuit to suit acoustic guitars, the preamp in the Acoustic Fly-Rig can really let all of the tonal qualities of your electro-acoustic sing through with amazing clarity and warmth. A raft of EQ controls offer great tweakability, not to mention a footswitchable boost function that can give your signal a pure kick of extra volume.

Effects

The Acoustic Fly also features some other essential effects to really embellish your sound. The compressor can make picked arpeggiated sections sound pristine and clear, or you can set it subtly for dynamic consistency when playing strummed chord progressions.

Other effects include a high-quality reverb, that can add some sweet artificial ambience if you're playing in a small venue with a dry room sound. A switchable delay/chorus section can let you add some old-school tape-style delay to your signal, or an angelic chorus that can emulate the sound of a 12-string with excellent conviction.

The all-analog SansAmp is, of course, its center point. Sweepable, semi-parametric, active EQ controls provide professional grade tweakability for any situation. There’s a Notch Filter, sweepable from 70Hz to 350Hz, designed to diminish the sensitivity for feedback caused by the resonating, low frequencies of acoustic guitars. A Low Pass Filter, sweepable from 16kHz to 1.5kHz, rolls off undesirable frequencies and artifacts.

Boost

Independent Boost function, up to approx 12dB, for solos. Includes a wide mid-range boost for improved clarity.
