Who says pedals need to be complicated the Pedal Booster proves that sometimes the most important pedals just need one knob and maybe a little toggle switch for good measure. This pedal as the name suggests boosts your signal straight out of your guitar. Designed to be the first pedal in your chain the Pickup Booster is a fantastic clean boost with a couple of cool little tools that make this a must have little pedal.

Transparent Clean Boost and Maximum Beef!
At the heart of this pedal you will find a small high quality clean boost circuit that is as transparent as can be. Just turn the gain knob slightly past unity for a nice small boost that just adds more power to your sound. As you push the gain up further you will start to push your amp harder with up to +25dB. Need a little bit more gain on your boost? No problem, just pull up on the gain knob to access a little bit more drive on top.

What really makes this one of the most interesting transparent boosts on the market is the resonance peak control. This small 3 way toggle control works directly with your pickup to take a single coil like sound and beef it up. In the ‘0’ position you get the standard response for your current pickup. In ‘1’ it can take your single coil pickups and turn it into a vintage style humbucker that is great for blues and rock sounds or you can put it in mode ‘2’ for a hotter modern humbucker sound that is perfect for hard rock and metal.

The Pickup Booster allows you boost your signal without altering the character of your sound while also allowing you to access different pickup tones with the flip of the Resonance Switch. With its class A, low-noise circuit design the Pickup Booster is exceptional at emphasizing a guitar’s natural tone while adding some muscle and fatness. It’s extremely transparent, adds clarity and has several new improvements that build even further on the original’s success. The Gain control can now be turned down to unity (0dB). We also added a discrete push-pull output stage that gives you increased drive capability. So even with the Gain knob down at 0dB and a long cable length, your signal chain will sound cleaner.

The Resonance Switch makes the pedal interact directly with your pickups, allowing those with single-coils to flip a switch for a vintage humbucker sound that’s perfect for classic rock or blues. With another flip of the switch you can get a high-output humbucker tone for rip roaring solos or for blasting gain out of a tube amp. You can use the Pickup Booster for a clean, buffered boost with more headroom or you can fatten up a humbucker for maximum saturation and sustain. Like the Dirty Deed, Vapor Trail and 805 Overdrive, each Pickup Booster is assembled in Santa Barbara, California and is True-Bypass.
